Since 2007, the 68RFE has been the standard option transmission for the Dodge/Ram Trucks with the 6.7 Cummins Turbo Diesel. In that time, there have been many flaws with it that Chrysler has not addressed. Rest assured, your stock 68RFE can be built to eliminate worry - that does not require a need to swap to a different style transmission.

We have committed ourselves to building the highest-quality transmission for your pickup; tailored to what you do.

Our stage one is the transmission for those who have a slightly modified pickup truck and do some occasional towing.

Rated at 500 Horsepower, it includes our Babymaker 1000 Billet Channel Plate Valve Body, increased clutch count, and a Randy's built twin disc converter.

If you are more of an avid tower/hauler, we would recommend jumping up to our stage two; which gets you into a billet input shaft, triple disc converter, and billet input drum to handle those torquey pulls that come with towing and hauling.

  • 4c power-pack, gpz or equivalent clutches, custom pressure plate
  • 2c power-pack with billet piston
  • Revmax or equivalent input drum with custom overdrive pack
  • Randy's Billet twin disc torque converter
  • New OEM Mopar Pressure Sensor
  • New OEM Mopar Speed Sensors
  • Billet Steel spin on filter adapter
  • New filters
  • HD Cast aluminum deep pan

THIS IS THE INFORMATION YOUR TUNER WILL NEED TO PROPERLY TUNE FOR THE BABYMAKER:

  • LINE PRESSURE SET TO 225PSI ABOVE 30% THROTTLE ANGLE
  • 100PSI RESTING PRESSURE
  • NO LOCKUP UNTIL 4TH GEAR
  • LOW/REVERSE SPRAG HOLDOUT
  • FOR 2019+, UNDERDRIVE PULSE TEST MUST BE TURNED OFF.

WARRANTY

68RFE 2 Year unlimited mile limited warranty will not cover broken cases or shafts of transmission including the 4th clutch hub. Any tires larger than a 35” tire must have proper gearing or warranty will be voided. Vehicle owner is responsible for having proper transmission tuning as transmission failure due to lack of tuning or improper tuning will not be a covered failure. Abuse, misuse, or burn down due to operator error will void warranty. Any warranty work must be performed at Randy’s Transmissions in Tooele UT. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ship transmission or vehicle to Randy’s location for any and all repairs needing to be performed. Any repairs to transmission not authorized by Randy’s Transmissions will void warranty and will not be covered by Randy’s Transmissions.

WARRANTY IS NON-TRANSFERRABLE

Appropriate gear ratios

  • 35" tire min gearing is 3:73 recommended 4:10
  • 37" tire min gearing is 4:10 recommended 4:30
  • Larger than that should be running a 4:56 ratio
